We’re Recruiting: Lead Designer – Men’s Wear (Eastern)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth trend research and develop mood boards aligned with seasonal, market, and cultural themes
- Design original and commercially viable Eastern menswear collections in line with brand identity and seasonal direction
- Create detailed sketches, drawings, and spec sheets using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Collaborate with tailors, pattern makers, and the production team to ensure accurate design execution
- Lead the end-to-end sample development process, ensuring excellence in cuts, fits, embroidery placement, and finishing
- Oversee and ensure timely delivery of collections from concept to final approved samples
- Drive participation in design reviews and contribute to strategic cross-functional planning
- Stay current with customer preferences, retail feedback, and competitive landscape to inform design decisions
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, feedback, and sample revisions for continuity and production handover
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design from a reputable university
- 4–6 years of experience in Eastern menswear design (retail or couture)
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and hand sketching
- Strong creativity, trend awareness, time management, and communication skills
