Position: Manager – Accounts & Finance
Location: Clifton, Karachi
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Director Finance

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.

Accounting Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date general ledger.
  • Implement and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

  • Monitor and manage company cash flow and liquidity.
  • Develop strategies to optimize working capital.
  • Ensure efficient banking and financial relationships.
  • Assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure timely filing of corporate taxes, VAT/GST, and other statutory obligations.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance.
  • Coordinate with tax authorities for audits and assessments.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Assist in long-term financial planning and investment decisions.
  • Provide insights into financial risks and opportunities.
  • Support business growth initiatives through financial analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with senior management for financial decision-making.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA, ACCA, CPA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
