Vacancy: Assistant Manager – Purchaser

Education Required: Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience Requirement: 5–6 years of procurement experience in a corporate/industrial environment, with proven expertise in SAP MM module
Location: Port Qasim, Karachi
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end local procurement process through SAP (from requisition to purchase order and GRN).
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure best value for the company.
- Monitor supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery timelines) and maintain approved vendor list.
- Coordinate with internal departments for timely fulfillment of material and service requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and reports in SAP.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resolve procurement-related issues including delivery delays, rejections, or disputes.
- Ensure health, safety, and ethical standards are followed in procurement activities.
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of procurement laws, tax implications (GST, WHT, etc.), and compliance.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
