Purchase Officer – Supply Chain
LOCATION: DR. ZIAUDDIN HOSPITAL, HEAD OFFICE NORTH NAZIMABAD CAMPUS
JOB SUMMARY: The Purchaser is responsible for managing the procurement of medical, non-medical, and general supplies. The role ensures the timely availability of high-quality materials at competitive prices. Responsibilities include vendor management, negotiation, purchase order processing, and close coordination with departments to fulfill operational needs while ensuring compliance with hospital procurement policies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle procurement of medical, non-medical, and general supplies.
- Ensure timely availability of quality goods at competitive prices.
- Process purchase requisitions and maintain vendor database.
- Communicate with departments to clarify specifications and budgets.
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve performance issues.
- Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure compliance with policies.
- Monitor deliveries and ensure continuous supply.
KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCES:
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Result-oriented with strong planning and coordination skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Academic Qualification: Intermediate / Graduate.
- Work Experience: 2–3 years in procurement or supply chain.
